About the Event

June is National Indigenous History Month, an opportunity for us all to learn about the cultures, traditions, and history of First Nations, Inuit, and M茅tis.

Join us at some of the activities happening on campus and gain a deeper understanding of Indigenous Peoples and their experiences.

Office of Indigenization Open House
Wednesday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Meet and visit with Elders
  • Visit the renovated Indigenous garden

Film screening: Moccasin Flats
Thursday, June 20 from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  • New West Theatre
  • Elder Phil Gladue will provide background on the film and lead a discussion afterwards.

Indigenous Short Film Festival
Friday, June 21 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

  • New West Theatre
  • Drop in to watch one or more short films from the National Film Board of Canada.
